This piece for solo piano is an affectionate gift for Philip Grange on the occasion of his seventieth birthday.
Infused with tap-dance rhythms, it celebrates the animated conversations that have accompanied our many real ale sessions in the Sheffield Tap. The right and left hands engage in a vigorous dialogue before arriving at a reflective conclusion. The opening G belongs to PG; the final A–H (A–B♮ in German notation) belongs to AH.
